CABO SAN LUCAS

Cabo San Lucas is located at the southern most tip of the 775-mile Baja Peninsula.  (We hadn't realized the Baja Peninsula was so long - that's the equivalent distance of Austin to Tallahassee, Florida.  Also going along the coast of Mexico, one comes to appreciate how really large Mexico is. )

Cabo is a resort town known for its long beaches, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing and just having a good time.   Unfortunately, we had to stay on the ship because of Vera's Covid episode and had to cancel our tour of the town and its sister town San Jose del Cabo.   But from our balcony we watched party boats go by and a number of parasailing enthusiasts doing their thing in the sky.   Not a bad way to suffer.   One group of passengers took a whale watching excursion and witnessed a momma whale giving birth.   That must have been something to see.

Vera got her get-out-of-jail card today (January 6) so she is free to leave our room (with mask).    Yay!  She is feeling much better but doesn't have much energy.  Our next stop is the Port of Los Angeles where we plan to pick up some supplies.   One more U.S. stop in Santa Barbara, then we're off to Hawaii and the South Pacific.
